For people ready to rebuild their lives after treatment

Nova House assists individuals in addiction recovery who experience psychological vulnerability and are determined to rebuild their lives post-treatment. Instead of returning to old environments, clients establish a fresh foundation for sobriety, connection, and independence in Amsterdam.

To qualify for admission, clients must have completed a 12-Step Minnesota Model treatment programme and demonstrate a clear commitment to fully participating in Nova House’s intensive schedule.

Nova House Programme

Structure, individual support and peer support

Clients work towards personalised goals through monthly action plans and weekly support sessions. They also follow a structured daily programme that includes recovery groups, cooking support, 12-Step guidance, a breakfast group, and community activities.

About Nova House

A safe and structured foundation for recovery

Founded in 2010, Nova House is a recovery residence in Amsterdam supporting people as they continue their recovery after residential addiction treatment, helping them build structure and greater independence.

Referral & Intake

Referrals are made through the treatment provider.

Clients are referred to Nova House by their treatment provider while still in residential treatment. The treatment provider also provides all the necessary information, documentation, house rules and admission requirements, which must be read, signed and returned before moving into Nova House.

Referral by the treatment provider

All necessary information and documentation is provided during residential treatment, including the terms and conditions, house rules, programme overview and referral documents.

Introductory & intake calls

An introductory meeting and intake interview are conducted by video call to discuss expectations and gather the information needed before admission.

Negative urine test

Following a negative urine drug screen, the client is admitted to Nova House.

Immediate admission

Clients transfer directly from their residential treatment centre to Nova House, provided a bed is available.

Working Together with Addiction Treatment Clinics

Clients are referred to Nova House by addiction treatment centres after completing residential treatment. We work closely with treatment centres and local authorities to support each client's recovery and monitor their progress.
